NEW LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN TOWER BROADCASTING DIGITAL TV The consolidated Digital TV tower on Lookout Mountain is now broadcasting crystal clear High Definition Television to Colorado’s Front Range. CBS 4, Denver’s 7, 9 News and My 20 are transmitting their Digital TV signals from the state-of-the-art broadcast facility. The four stations known as the Lake Cedar Group constructed the new tower to bring the benefits of free over-the-air Digital TV to households in the Denver Metro area. The analog signals that we have used since the beginning of broadcast television are being replaced by Digital TV. The switch from analog television to Digital TV will complete in February of 2009. All over-the-air television will be digital after that time. The consolidated tower replaces four towers on Lookout Mountain. The existing analog towers will be removed some time after the conversion from analog to digital. Denver’s leading TV stations have been broadcasting from Lookout Mountain for more than 50 years.
